There are so many people in the world that need HOPE! The Institute of Ecolonomics (IOE) has developed a HOPE for the Hopeless program to provide some of that needed HOPE to people of the world.
We believe that the way to solve hunger and thirst around the world is to EMPOWER people in their home communities to help themselves. This is the principle of – “Teaching people to fish, rather than giving them fish”.
We will work with local community organizations here in the US where abundance of food and water exists to teach these groups how to sustainably produce locally grown food and to live more sustainable lifestyles. Each of these local, community oriented HOPE Groups will eventually sponsor a community where hunger and thirst abounds and will work alongside the Institute of Ecolonomics through our Nourish the Planet project to bring empowered solutions to these global locations.
IOE and Nourish the Planet have established the Ecolonomic Service Corps which is a program for scientists from around the world who are willing to give back two years of their lives to serve hungry and thirsty people groups by living in needy communities and assisting in empowering these people with sustainable solutions. These incredible people will train initially alongside members of these global communities at the IOE Northern Colorado Center for Ecolonomic Excellence and then partner with the HOPE Groups described above to provided long-term “fishing” solutions to these hungry and thirsty communities.
WE WILL HELP SOLVE WORLD HUNGER BY EMPOWERING ONE COMMUNITY AT A TIME THROUGH LONG-TERM COMMITMENTS OF TIME, EXPERIENCE AND RESOURCES!
