1. Manage your time

Many of us struggle with time when trying to balance between work, family time, and personal time. Every moment of our day is important and should have a purpose; so managing time is one of the most important factors of a balanced life.

Allocate each moment of your day properly; keep a calendar or diary for scheduling. You could use your computer or apps for time management or just use the good old pen and paper, paper calendar and notebook. Do what you can and practice saying no to what you can’t.

2. Your health comes first

Don’t overstress on anything, don’t work too hard, and remember that business can wait but your health won’t. Get into the habit of living a healthy life. Eat right, get enough exercise, and get enough sleep. Don’t forget to get routine doctor visits and health checkups.

3. Avoid negative people

There are some people who will inspire you and pull you to the right direction and there are others who will always get you in trouble and drag you down. Try to surround yourself with people who can help you to achieve bigger things and higher goals. Avoid negative people at all costs, it’s for your own good.

Try it over the weekend, even if just for a few hours. Turn off all your electronic devices, smart phones, and computer, and spend some alone time to give your working brain a rest, for at least for a few hours a week. Think about it, when was the last time you made some free time that was only and exclusively for you?

5. Spend time with friends and family
